Nicknamed "The Human Vacuum Cleaner" or "Mr. Hoover", Brooks Robinson is
considered one of the greatest defensive third basemen in major league
history. He won 16 consecutive Gold Glove Awards during his career, tied
with pitcher Jim Kaat for the second most all-time for any player at
any position. Robinson was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.
This replica statue of Brooks Robinson was given to fans in attendance
on September 29, 2012 to commemorate the unveiling of Brooks' statue
outside Camden Yards. The statue measures roughly 8" tall.
This statue comes in its original box and includes a ticket to the game earlier in the year when the statues were originally supposed to be given out (Brooks' statue date was postponed due to health concerns).
