Johnny Vander Meer played Major League baseball as a pitcher, most notably for the Cincinnati Reds. Vander Meer was best known for being the only pitcher in Major League Baseball history to throw two consecutive no-hitters. The first being on June 11, 1938 against the Boston Bees then again on June 15th against the Brooklyn Dodgers, just 4 days later.
This Rawlings official National League baseball was signed in blue by Vander Meer and inscribed with the dates of his two consecutive no hitters. This baseball includes a Great Moments COA.
