Standing at 6' 2" tall weighing 225 pounds, Belle was one of the leading sluggers of his time, and in 1995 became the first and still only player to ever hit 50 doubles and 50 home runs in a single season. He was also the first player to break the 10-million-dollar per year compensation contract in Major League Baseball.

Belle was considered a model of consistency, compiling a .295 career batting average, and averaging 37 home runs and 120 RBIs a season between 1991 and 2000. Belle is also one of only six players in MLB history to have nine consecutive 100-RBI seasons. However, his combative personality, marked by occasional angry outbursts, created a reputation that was intimidating to those who covered him in the news media.

This Rawlings official American League baseball was signed in blue by Belle and includes a JSA sticker.
