A 19-time All-Star and two-time American League Most Valuable Player, Ripken is best remembered for breaking Lou Gehrig's record for consecutive games played, a record that had stood for 56 years and many deemed unbreakable. Cal was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007.

This 1980 Charlotte O's Game Time program features Cal Ripken, Jr. during his first year in the Minor Leagues. Included with the program is a line-up sheet for both the Charlotte O's and Savannah Braves. There is a small rip at the top right corner of the program as shown in photos.
