The 1988 season is remembered for the 0-21 start that lasted from April 4 to 28 to start the Orioles season. Manager Cal Ripken, Sr. was fired after an 0-6 start and replaced by Hall of Famer Frank Robinson. The Orioles won their first game of the year against the Chicago White Sox at Comiskey Park on April 29. This Louisville Slugger bat was made to commemorate the end of the record 21-game losing streak to start a season. It has been signed by 13 members of that team. Signatures include:

Frank Robinson, Mike Morgan, Elrod Hendricks, Larry Sheets, Ken Gerhart, Fred Lynn, Cal Ripken, Jr., Joe Orsulak, Craig Worthington, Mike Boddicker, Scott McGregor, Bill Ripken and Jim Traber.

This bat includes a letter of authenticity from JSA.
